Donald Glover returns under his Childish Gambino moniker to contribute a cover to Jaime Reimagined – a compilation inspired by Brittany Howard‘s 2019 album Jaime.
Reaching the uppermost corners of his falsetto, he delivers a gloriously spine-tingling re-imagination of Howard’s song ‘Stay High’. In true fashion, everything about this cover soars.
Gambino’s cover sits alongside re-imaginations from EARTHGANG and Michael Kiwanuka, among remixes from Bon Iver, BadBadNotGood, Jungle and more.
In other news relating to the multi-talented artist, Glover has recently signed on alongside Phoebe Waller-Bridge to star in a television adaptation of the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith, in a multi-year deal with Amazon. The show is expected to land on Amazon Prime in 2022.
